Sarpsborg 08 has signed Senegalese U-national team goalkeeper Mamour Ndiaye. The 17-year-old comes from Oslo FC Academy in Senegal and has already played matches for the U17, U20, and U23 national teams.

What happened?

Mamour Ndiaye was on trial with Sarpsborg 08 earlier this year and showed himself to be an exciting goalkeeper. Sports manager Hampus Andersson says that they believe they can develop Mamour into a very good goalkeeper.

Why is this important for Sarpsborg 08?

Sarpsborg 08 is in 7th place in the Eliteserien with 38 points after 26 matches. They will face Vålerenga on November 5th and hope to win the match with the help of their new goalkeeper.

What comes next?

Mamour Ndiaye has signed a contract with Sarpsborg 08 until the 2027 season. He will now be a part of the team and help them in their quest to reach the top of the Eliteserien.
